The Highlander Ponteland is the perfect private hire venue in Northumberland for all types of events and occasions.
Whether you’re celebrating a significant birthday, special anniversary, naming ceremony, baby shower, retirement or life celebration or you simply wish to host a private dinner for a larger group, the Highlander Ponteland will certainly provide the perfect backdrop for your event.
Depending on requirements and guest numbers, we offer three spaces for private hire:
The Green Room is a intimate space perfect for dinner parties and smaller celebrations for up to 24 seated guests.
This room is situated near to the bar through a private doorway and features a decorative fireplace and TV screen, ideal for showcasing photos and presentations.
No venue hire charges apply, just a minimum spend of £250 on pre-ordered food and drinks.
The Arches room is a characterful space ideal for private dining and smaller celebrations and events for up to 30 seated or standing guests.
With Booth seating perfect for dining and conversation, a feature fireplace and plenty of space for mingling with a buffet feast, this private room will provide a great backdrop for any event.
No venue hire charges apply, just a minimum spend of £400 on pre-ordered food and drinks.
The impressive Restaurant space is ideal for larger parties and events for up to 80 seated or standing guests.
With direct access to the beer garden, you can enjoy a celebration indoors or an al fresco get together with family and friends!

All spaces are available for private hire bookings Midweek (Mon – Thurs) or Weekend (Fri & Sat)

To place your booking, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit of the initial quote. Final balance due 14 days prior to the event upon confirming final numbers, pre-order, table plan and dietary requirements.
Bookings can only be made up to 6 months in advance – unless otherwise agreed.
All prices include VAT at the current rate.

Excellent, I have already recommended to family and friends. It is the first time we have been back since it sadly closed many years ago, it was definitely worth the wait! Lovely service, ambience and most importantly the Sunday lunch including dessert was excellent. It finished off an excellent 35th Wedding anniversary weekend. Thank you It was a lovely end.
