Sous Chef – £31,000 per year
Working in a fresh produce kitchen, you will be passionate, dedicated & hard working. We aim for the highest standards and are looking for a team player with the drive to motivate the team.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist Head Chef with overall running of a fast-paced kitchen
– Manage stock levels in line with set targets
– Stock checking and ordering in Head Chef’s absence
– Contribute to Menu development alongside the Head Chef
– Assist in the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards
– Adhere to HACCP regulations at all times
The Person
– 2 years minimum experience as a chef in a busy kitchen
– Monday – Sunday full availability required (45 hours per week)
– Must be able to reliably commute to The Highlander
– Have a genuine passion for food and high standards
– Knowledge of pro cooking techniques and food safety standards
– Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
– Good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations
